Nothing from New York

On September 10th 2006 I went New York to take part in Conflux Festival, a multi site art festival and celebration of contemporary psychogeography. The work I made there can be seen on my blog. Here are some images I took during my stay in New York of discarded and disfunctional things. For more images see Previous Posts.

hello
i got introduced to your art today and since that point i have had the most crazy inspiring day.
i always thought that i was a bit mad bcos i wanted to take pictures of wat i call dead umbrelas but yer broken prob a better word.
right so any way i have to sheir this with you, so after my morning at uni thinking about narrative behinde photos, i was home 4 lunch and i walked a different way bak to uni and wat i found shocked me and amazed me. on top of the metal fence that sepparetes the foot path from the train line was a torched childrens push chair, witch made me ask lost of questoins ahhh how did it end up there what happened such a shocking image ran trough my mind, then i look down and right below it on the grass was a inside out umbrela..what happened hear did some ones brollie brake in the wind so they lost it and burnt their posseshons, i find my self wanting to wright a narrative for the image.
any way thank you very much your work has inspired me.
